Retro Shirt Dress McCall's 6506 MMM 1

Melody's Me Made May #1
Dress - McCall's 6506
Cardi - Worthington via jcp
Shoes - Target
Pattern Description: Sleeveless shirt dress with 70s style pointed collar and patch pockets.
Pattern Size: 12
Fabric Used: Printed stretch cotton
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I was on the fence about the pockets when I was planning the dress, I elected to add them as the pattern intended but at this point I do not like them as they remain open and extrude from the skirt. I also do not personally like the large collar I have broad shoulders and I feel like the collar is pointing them out.
Looking down to make sure the pockets are not crazy
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: shortened the bodice, shorten the skirt. I used rogue white vintage buttons (from my button jar) alternated with modern sparkle buttons.

Would you sew it again? No, personally I would need to add sleeves and adjust the collar and choose a darker fabric to be content with the dress

Would you recommend it to others? Yes, it was easy to sew and a super cute design. mine however, not quite my style.

Conclusion: Not a bad pattern just not the right fit for my personality.
This collar is not for me
Who snaps your pic as you are trying to fix your hair?
